Strangers again, is a piece about friends or lovers who no longer talk. It’s about the relationships we left behind, for whatever reason. It’s about the coherent understanding, that those who were once close to us, have now become strangers we hardly recognize.
STRANGERS AGAIN
Here we are,
Strangers again;
We see each other,
But don’t really see each other;
It’s hard to imagine;
That we were once close;
Once knew everything about each other;
But now, we seem like two beings, that hardly crossed paths;
Writing this;
I ask myself whose fault this was;
Was it you that forgot about me?
Or was it I, who stopped putting in effort;
Here we are,
Strangers again;
We see each other,
But don’t really see each other;
Do you remember?
What it was like;
All that time, long gone;
When we remembered and put in effort;
Life happened,
And I’ve learnt not to question fate;
Time passed;
And I’ve learnt that the past cannot be recreated.
